Overview:

Amaze-a-Swap is a creative fundraising initiative for schools that combines raising money with the joy of reading. The concept is similar to a traditional Mufti Day (non-uniform day), but with an added twist — students donate to the fundraiser and, in return, get to take home books of their choice. This event ties in nicely with events like World Book Day celebrations.

How It Works:

 

• Donations: Students donate specific amounts to participate
• £3 Donation: Choose 1 book.
• £5 Donation: Choose 2 books.
• £10 Donation: Choose 5 books.

 

Funds Utilization:

The school uses the funds raised to purchase new books for the school library or classroom sets at discounted prices from Expect Amazing, at the part funded (school exclusive prices)

• For each book the student selects, 75p will be contributed towards the book’s cost.

Example Scenario:

• If 200 children each donate £3, the total raised would be £600. The school would receive £450 to spend on books through Expect Amazing, with a retail value of around £1300+.

Additional Benefits:

• Schools get to enhance their library or class sets by using the funds raised to purchase books through Expect Amazing’s discounted prices.
• A reward system encourages participation, with each class vying for the top spot to win a book/badge for each child.

Materials Provided:

• Expect Amazing will supply all the artwork for posters and forms to help the school promote the initiative.
• A list of age-appropriate books will be provided for children to select from.
