‘Right to Read’ is a library funding initiative where we work with local businesses...
(cafes, estate agents, small and medium enterprises and other large corporates) as a part of their CSR activities.
Some eye opening facts which inspired the birth of ‘Right to Read’:
- Lack of investment towards school libraries is a UK wide concern.
- Schools are not statutorily required to have a library.
- 1 in 8 schools in the UK do not have a library
- Over three quarters of a million children do not have access to book
Right to Read’ is a humble effort to help make a difference to schools across the country. In the last 12 months we have supported ~30 schools through our corporate partners but have further requests from over 200 schools who have applied to benefit from this initiative.
